Sure if you want to equate india's argument with one coming from the pak side.... I dont anymore to say to you...and on the conversion, I suggest you to look at the government statistics on the demography in India from census for the past couple of decades and you would know whose percentage is growing. My point was if the govt is committed to fight terrorism, why not hang the court convicted criminal. Even if the govt thinks that the trial was not good enough, why not announce a mistrial and start a new trial?? there is absolutely no reason for it to keep mum and not talk about its position with its citizens.

And, what I was saying is there is no reason to compare Afzal a court convict with Modi. If you still want to talk about the perpetrators of religious riots, why dont you start with

- delhi riots on sikhs by congress
- ethnic cleansing of kashmir pundits

We are all Indians.
We should condemn atrocities caused by anyone on anybody.
It is the politicians who fish in this "kalangia kuttai"
They are the ones who benefit from any of these struggles between community and they encourage it.
It is unfortunate in every country the majority is taken for granted, and the benefit are all offered only to the minorities. Be it India, Australia, England or US.
When government does such partiality, the difference starts.
For example: (this is only an example, I am not for it or against it, as it is the collective intelligence of Indians have to decide)
1. Why is there a Haj Subsidy? Now there is a subsidy to Jerusalem visit also in AP.
2. Why are only Hindu temples under government control and other worshipping locations are all under non-government bodies?
3. Government takes in the revenue from these temples, and do not distribute atleast to the other Hindu temples, and either they gobble it, or use it as in #1
4. Not all muslims are terrorists, but almost (???) all terrorists are muslims, so a naturaly antipathy towards them. No common man says, their muslim friend is a terrorist.

In everyone's heart of hearts we all know what is going on in every muslim country, or wherever there is a muslim population.
How much patience is expected?
Is it like the Christian belief that when the whole world converts to Christianity, the Jesus returns, so lets convert everyone.
Where is this going to stop?
Why cant we just repect the other person as a human being, and let them live with their beliefs.

I am surprised that you cannot understand basic women's rights.
Islamic (for the matter most religious law / codes) are male chauvinistic and violated many basic rights of women. The Supreme Court had observed in many cases for the enactment of Uniform civil code. Remember Shah Bano case of 80s ?

No one is asking for oppression or suppression of minorites rights. Howard;s tone may seem to be chauvinistic but he seems to talk sense. Muslims and other immigrants are still welcomed to Australia, India and many nations.
Only the immigrants should be ready to follow the legal laws of the host nation. and the legal system and basic rights offered in Auz is impeacable and in accordance of UN declaration of human rights. Auz PM recently apologised on behalf of the whites for the atrocities committed against Auz aborgines long ago.

Most immigrants from Muslim nations do not seem to apprecitate or understand the incredible freedom and basic rights offered to all people in nations like Auz or EU.
